If you’ve been on Pinterest lately, you may have noticed that brooches are absolutely everywhere right now. And this isn’t a quiet little ripple. Pinterest is reporting a 500% surge in searches for “brooch styling.” Five hundred percent. That is not a trend. That is a full-on revival.

There is a small cameo brooch sitting in my jewelry box right now that I cannot bring myself to part with. It was my mom’s. And when she passed, it became mine – not just as a keepsake, but as a little piece of her I could actually wear.
So when I started seeing brooches everywhere this year, I didn’t just think “oh, fun trend.” I felt something. Like the rest of the world had finally caught up to what my mom already knew.
So what is driving it? A few things are fueling this revival.
We are craving self-expression. After years of minimalist everything, people are done playing it safe. Brooches let you take a simple blazer or white tee and say something with it – sentimental, quirky, bold, or all three.
Maximalism is back. Cluster a few together on a lapel, pin one to your handbag, and suddenly your whole outfit has a story.
Sustainability is driving it too. People are raiding their grandmother’s jewelry boxes, shopping vintage, and reimagining heirloom pieces. That’s sustainable fashion at its most personal.
And the best part? There are no rules anymore. Bags, shoes, hats – if it makes you happy, you wear it.
Now, I’ll be honest – when I started seeing this trend everywhere, my creative brain immediately started spinning. Because this aesthetic? It speaks directly to something I’ve been working on over in my Etsy shop.
I’m going to share exactly how this brooch revival inspired my newest printable wall art designs and how you can bring a little of that vintage, layered, beautiful energy right into your home.
So I did what any curious creative does – I went straight to Canva. I searched “brooches” under elements and the floodgates opened. I started with something classic – a traditional gold brooch with pearls – and then I started to play.

When I finished with the gold brooches, something else caught my eye – a beautiful bee element in Canva that I just couldn’t scroll past. It was ivory with the most delicate, lacey wings, and it had this quiet elegance that felt perfectly on-trend without being over the top.
I knew immediately it needed to become something. So I took that little bee and started adding my own touches, layering in details until it felt like mine. By the time I was done, I had three completely different designs – each one its own personality, all inspired by that one unexpected find.

The next one stopped me – a ruby gem brooch, rich and jewel-toned and full of old-world charm. It reminded me immediately of one my mom used to wear, and that was all the reason I needed. I added my own touches and made it mine – a little tribute wrapped in a brand new design.

The last find was a heart – enamel red and shiny, the kind that just makes you smile. I created a design around it, and then took it a step further with a second piece featuring the silhouette of a woman wearing a brooch on her hat. There is something about that image that feels timeless and a little whimsical all at once. I think it might be my favorite of everything I made.

And now for the part I have been most excited to share.
All of these designs – the gold brooch, the ivory bee, the ruby gem, and yes, my favorite little heart and silhouette – are now available as printable wall art in my Etsy shop. Each one was inspired by this brooch revival that is picking up speed, and designed to bring that same vintage, layered, beautiful energy right into your home.
No shipping wait, no fuss. Just download, print, and hang something that feels like you.
If you love the brooch aesthetic as much as I do right now, come on over and take a look. I think you’ll find something that speaks to you.
