Wait On The Lord

I found this sermonette on a website called Desiring God.  Watching the video reinforced the fact that God has not left us no matter the pain or problems in our lives.  If we “wait” for Him, have faith in him, he works for us to help not only us but others. The video is titled..

“Call upon me in the day of trouble;

I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me.”

Psalm 50:15 (RSV)

Help us Lord to call out to you not only in the day of trouble but in all things. We trust in you to deliver us and we are happy that through our faith in you we can glorify you.

“..but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength,

they shall mount up with wings like eagles,

they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.”

Isaiah 40:31 (RSV)

Thank you God that you will give us strength and help us not only walk but to run.

“Do you not know? Have you not heard?

The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth.

He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom.”

Isaiah 40:28

With so many of us crying out to you God it is good to know you do not grow weary.

Hi, I am a mom, nana, and writer living in the beautiful state of NC. I was married for 37 years and then blindsided by my husband, a former pastor. After decades he filed for legal separation without a word to me. It has been a rough road coming to terms with this new life that has been chosen for me. My blog is a place where I share "The Beginning," this place I found myself, a place I did not want to be. "The Journey," the things we need to do as we traverse this new road. Lastly "The Joy," and yes there is still joy to be found even after great pain. I have finished my first book "My Story My Divorce God's Promise, The Beginning." I am in the process of writing The Journey and The Joy. Please join me on my adventure to a new life. Always remember God's Promise "I will never leave you or forsake you."
