Surviving Divorce / The Journey

Beware the Narcissist

I never really understood the meaning of Narcissism.  There was no mention in primary or secondary school.  I don’t remember mention of it in my psych classes in nursing school.  How can we protect ourselves from something we don’t know or understand?  With that in mind, I will be doing a series of quotes from Pinterest to help us all better understand and protect ourselves from the narcissist.

and that is why I am doing this series)
Always remember God’s promise.  “I will never leave you or forsake you.”
Thank you God!

  1. I have come to realize a year post divorce how much of a narcissist my ex was and continues to be. Unfortunately , attempting cross country coparenting wurh a narcissist is nearly impossible and a year later, I am still having to pot up with his written abuse…it is taking a toll on my healing.

    • I am sorry Courtney. Yes, having to deal with them seems to continue the pain. They say the best thing is to go no contact but that is not always possible. My children are adults and still have to deal with the EX at weddings and at grandchildrens events. Now that I have learned who he is I don’t like being around him. Prayers going up for you Courtney. God Bless.
